The insanely popular instant messaging app WhatsApp has gone free in the App Store -- sort of. In a move that appears to be telegraphed some time ago, there is no longer a $0.99 cent charge for the app, but believe you are getting away scot-free. As of Tuesday, there has a subscription model in place.
